Modern Living and Yoga

“When you listen to yourself, everything comes naturally. It comes from inside, like a kind of will to do something. Try to be sensitive. That is yoga.” ― Petri Räisänen

The modern society is slowly becoming a hurry-scurry created by itself, there are people and facilities, noises and creations, work and energies and everything in the aerosphere is absorbed by everyone. The process of making a living never stop and it makes every human run the race to grab the necessities. In the production, we dig in a lot of inputs to make the best out of it, but are we forgetting the utility will decline with increasing returns?

There must be no direct relation between your conscience and economy, but there is an indirect track leading to it. India is now the largest growing economy in the world which shows that how the leaders and workers are doing a backbreaking job. No matter whether it is an employer, student, parent or wayfarer, every soul invests in the development of a whole economy by sacrificing some bit of it. During this cycle, which never ends, we are ignoring the willingness dying inside and an irresistible hankering overpowering the minds to follow the flock of sheep.

Commonly called, ‘break-downs’, to define it exactly, it is that point in life where one gives up everything, all energies going out in the space, your sagacity has answered. To avoid this plight every body should take out some time to comprehend its eminence and in the growing modern society, ‘Yoga’ is the panacea.

Recently, the prime minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi addressed the joint meeting Congress in Washington and according to the reports it has been observed that there are over 30 million practitioners of Yoga in America, India has not yet claimed IPR on Yoga. In Mr. Narendra Modi words; ‘SIRI tells us that India’s ancient heritage of Yoga has over 30 million practitioners in the US. It is estimated that more Americans bend for yoga than to throw a curve ball. And, no Mr Speaker (Paul Ryan), we have not yet claimed intellectual property rights on Yoga.’ This is a call for yoga awareness drive.

If we consider diurnal processes we might come across the different kinds of pressures every human would take in a day. The normal days, hustle bustle, traffic, colleagues chattering, boss’s tantrums, exams, crimes, they coagulate to give enough load to your mind declining the ability of one to work. With developing technologies, people connecting online and everything taking place via the internet; making all individuals a machine dependent on other machines. The high tech world leads to a trap in the tedium, facing severe health problems. It is estimated that every one in five will be in depression by the year 2020, and why do you think is the rate so high, because with manufacturing of robots we are becoming one of the them!

The energy or enthusiasm may disappear because of the physical and mental stress a mind and a body tackle. One can contemplate the changing behaviour; nervousness in the body, vigorous actions, fumbling of words while speaking (because of thousands of ideas crossing through your mind) and the most prominent deportment is aggression. It is one of the strongest indications that a mind is stuffed with huge sea of thoughts, burdened under stress and feels suffocated but is still working because this is the modern living. But are we justifying the modern living? Maybe not.

Today, we are not recognising the worth of our creeds. The desire of a soul is never satisfied without the apprehension of its existence. Every day you see crowds in public places; metro, buses, markets, can you differentiate the individuals? No, and maybe even the discrete personalities in the same crowd cannot. Yoga gives you the strength to analyse your soul and its dimensions. It is an exercise to stretch to all your foibles and overcome those. It is the best medium to let go of the negative energies confined and brings down the stress of a monotonous life. This makes you stand out of the crowd, discovering the eternal verities.

Modern living is producing a coherent community of machines, but yoga makes them pneumatic machines. Under the limitless blue sky, swaying cool breeze, 20 minutes of yoga give you a chance to stay calm and pious every time. Maybe every country is producing the best CEOs, doctors, engineers, businessmen, but are they pure enough towards working? We are not aware of the prominence of yoga in a country’s development at present, but in the long run, we will perceive and appreciate. The aggression, frustration and stress never compliment with the work. Also, in the words of Buddha; there is nothing so disobedient as an undisciplined mind, and there is nothing so obedient as a disciplined mind.

In 2014, the UN General Assembly recognised June 21 as the International Yoga Day after 177 member states supported the draft moved by India and the first International Day of Yoga was observed world over on June 21, 2015 which is a great move towards the pure growth of the world. Around the globe if every leader fathoms the need of peace of mind at a workplace, then, we will be able to achieve greater heights and pure evolution.
Yoga may seem routinely exercise, but it is proven that it helps getting rid of present health problems while protecting your body from subsequent diseases. It is a precaution and a cure too, helping your body flexibility, increasing muscle strength, respiration and flotation of energy in your body. Every other day the social networking sites preach about the positivity every soul should inhale and yoga is our way.

Every soul has a purpose, and to complete it, yoga is a must especially in the modern living.
